Galway Bay fm newsroom - A syndicate of 18 staff members at the Portiuncula Hospital medical records office has scooped a Lotto prize of half a million euro.
The winning ticket was bought in the hospital shop yesterday.
The winners will share 500 thousand euro - getting 28 thousand euro each.
Ballinasloe area councillor Michael Finnerty, who works at the hospital, says there's great excitement at Portiuncula this morning.
