Power restored to over 3,000 homes in Loughrea

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Electricity has been restored to over 3,000 households and businesses in Loughrea that were left without power this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the ESB confirmed that a fault of a connector on an overhead line left customers in the town without power for over an hour earlier.

Following repairs by an ESB crew, service has now been fully restored to customers in the area.
