Gardaí are appealing for information after an incident in the city where a car was deliberately driven at Gardaí.
The BMW involved in the incident failed to stop for Gardaí at several points before escaping.
This incident happened in Eyre Square in the early hours of last Wednesday, July 8th.
At around 3.30am, a white BMW 316 evaded a traffic stop by driving at a Garda who had exited a patrol van.
The car subsequently failed to stop for Gardaí in Galway City and the Salthill/Knocknacarra area before Gardaí lost sight.
Since then, the car's not been located and Gardaí are appealing to the public for any information.
The registration of the white BMW 316 involved is 162-D-35840.
Seperately, Gardaí are also appealing for witnesses over another case of dangerous driving in Gort last Monday, July 6th.
At around 9.15pm on the M18 at Glenbrack, a white BMW 320 was observed to be travelling at speed, but failed to stop for Gardaí and escaped.
The car was then located at Circle K in Kilcolgan, but fled the forecourt when Gardaí arrived and drove on the wrong side of the road at incoming vehicles as it headed towards Clarinbridge.
The registration of this car is 161-LS-2279 and it hasn't been located since, with Gardaí now appealing for anyone with information to make contact.
