Quarter of a million euro to benefit six Galway schools and projects

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A quarter of a million euro has been allocated to six Galway schools and community projects.

The funding has been sanctioned by the Department of Rural and Community Development under the CLAR programme.

The largest awards - of 50-thousand euro each - will be granted to Killererin Development Company for the provision of a playground, Brownsgrove National School in Tuam for footpaths and car parking, and Cleggan/Claddaghduff Community Council for the construction of footpaths and public lighting.

Other projects to benefit include St Jarlath's National School Skehanagh, St Colman's Park Trustees Gort, and Coiste Pobail Charna.
