Rahoon man in court in connection with incident in Dublin last weekend following which a man died

A Galway city man who allegedly led a 14-man pack in what was described as a relentless chase of a man who was killed in Dublin last weekend has appeared in court.

25-year-old Joshua Brodericks, of Glenn Dara, Rahoon, is accused of assault causing harm to two people, and he also faces two counts of violent disorder.

After leaving a rap gig in Dublin city over the weekend, Qayyum Balogun was attacked by what was described as a 14-man pack allegedly led by Joshua Brodericks.

Garda Will McCarthy described what followed as a completely unprovoked attack by a group that showed a staggering propensity for violence.
