Two former US servicemen to lead peace walk through Galway in anti war campaign

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Two former US servicemen are to lead a peace walk through Galway on Monday week as part of an anti-war campaign.

"US Veterans for Peace," 82 year old Ken Mayers and 77 year old Tarak Kauff will walk 10 kilometres a day from Limerick to Galway on the way to their final destination in Donegal.

The two men are expected to arrive at Galway Crystal Factory at 12.30pm on Monday (Sept 16th).

The two veterans were jailed for two weeks earlier this year for a protest they held in Shannon Airport where they attempted to enter a US military plane.
