Údarás na Gaeltachta has launched a new €350 thousand fund to drive tourism growth in Gaeltacht regions.
It'll provide grants to small and medium businesses, community groups, co-operatives and non-profit organisations.
Údarás says 4 in 10 Irish people are interested in a Gaeltacht holiday, suggesting there could be significant untapped potential for language and cultural tourism.
Projects that would be supported under this new fund include visitor experiences, tourism infrastructure, digital and marketing development, and community tourism initiatives.
In practice, this could range from Irish-language cookery classes and guided cultural tours, to bilingual signs or upskilling hospitality staff.
Údarás says the fund also has a clear economic ambition to reduce reliance on seasonal employment by supporting the development of off-season tourism products.
The maximum grant is €50 thousand, and grants of up to 50 percent are available for SME's, increasing to 75 percent for community groups.
Applications are now open on the Údarás website until the end of June.
