Galway Bay fm newsroom - UHG is the third most overcrowded hospital nationwide today for the second consecutive day this week.

34 patients are waiting on trolleys or in wards at the emergency department.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded nationwide with 79, followed by Cork University Hospital with 49.

Figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation report there are 515 patients waiting for beds nationwide today.
