Galway Bay fm newsroom - University Hospital Galway is the third most overcrowded hospital nationwide today.

36 patients are waiting on trolleys or along wards at the facility.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 55, followed by Cork University Hospital where 43 are waiting.

Figures compiled by the INMO show 549 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning nationwide.
