Galway Bay fm newsroom - UHG is the third most overcrowded hospital nationwide today.

The hospital has 32 patients waiting on trolleys or along wards.

According to figures published by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 503 waiting nationwide.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 67, followed by Cork University Hospital with 62.
