Galway Bay fm newsroom - An information event on hosting Ukrainians families will take place at NUI Galway this Thursday.

The event will cover what is involved in hosting refugees, the supports available and how to sign up and pledge accommodation.
Recent CSO figures found 2,790 refugess have arrived in the county in total.

The information session takes place from 7 to 8:30PM at the Institute for Lifecourse and Society Building, Upper Newcastle Road.

It is presented by Ukrainians help Ukrainians Galway, Association of Ukrainians in Ireland, The Irish Red Cross, Doras, Irish Refugee Council and Nasc.
