Galway Bay fm newsroom - A woman has been taken to University Hospital Galway after being rescued from the water at Blackrock in Salthill shortly after 8 this morning. (22/2)
It's understood the woman was spotted by a member of the public entering the water and alerted emergency services.
A number of ambulances and gardaí attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital
