Works on the church road in Headford will begin on the Monday the 29th of June as part of the Claran road active travel scheme.

It is expected that these works will be finished by the start of the new school term.

Changes include the removal of Grass verges, an enhanced footpath outside the National school, and a pedestrian crossing from the schools to the Church.

Local FIne Gael Councillor Andrew Reddington says that parking in the area and the width of the carriageway will be protected.
