Galway City Council is being asked to consider installing filtered traffic lights at the Thermo King Junction.
Councillor Shane Forde says cars turning right are constantly backed up at the junction in Mervue.
He thinks filter lights - like those at the entrance to the Liosbaun Industrial Estate - could be a big help.
