Killannin native Tena Thornton was announced during the week as Ireland seniors vice-captain ahead of the Tag Rugby World Cup which takes place in Australia in October (15th-18th).
It will be her third time to represent her country on the Global stage having captained Ireland at the 2023 competition in Limerick, as well as playing in Coffs Harbour in 2018, the same venue for the 2026 event.
Tena caught up with Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly during the week to look ahead to the event and chat about her Tag rugby career.
