Kilnadeema-Leitrim qualified for the final of the All-Ireland junior “B” hurling championship following a three point victory over their Cork counterparts on Sunday last in a game played at Raheenagh, Co.Limerick.

The winners led by nine points to five at half time with the Cork side failing to score from play in the first half- they relied on pointed frees from Liam Cronin and Barry Murphy. A youthful Kilnadeema-Leitrim side had Liam Kelly in good scoring form and he was accurate from frees and from play as the winners held a four point interval advantage.

Kilnadeema-Leitrim were able to hold onto their advantage in the second half with Vinnie Kenny and Kevin Roche scoring 0-5 between them. Aside from those mentioned, Cathal Nevin also pointed for the Joe Kenny managed side.
