Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost €40,000 in funding has been allocated for works at Killeenaran Pier in Ballinderreen.

€38,000 will go toward replacing damaged parts of the deck, repairing the pier wall and breakwater, and installing handrails.

Local councillor Martina Kinane has welcomed the investment - and says it's a very popular pier with locals.
