From Galway Bay FM newsroom- Approval for a gaming arcade in Tuam has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.

The project would see a well known former bookshop on Vicar Street transformed - but there's been strong local opposition to the plans.

The plans were given the green light by County planners last month, but an appeal has now been lodged with An Bord Pleanala by local residents.

A decision is due in May.
