Galway Bay fm newsroom - ATU Galway is planning to develop a new monument dedicated to deceased students of the college.

The university has requested permission to develop a new sculptural stone monument incorporating a memorial wall at its Dublin Road campus.

The proposed memorial will replace an existing memorial on site.

A decision on the plans is due at the beginning of May.
