Galway City Council is inviting the public to take part in a consultation process regarding the proposed installation of CCTV cameras in selected public areas.
The initiative aims to address ongoing issues of littering and illegal dumping.
The operation of Closed Circuit Television under this initiative will comply with the relevant Codes of Practice ensuring that all data is handled responsibly and in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Submissions from residents and stakeholders can be made in writing to the council's Environment Department or via email before Thursday July 9th.
