The status yellow thunderstorm warning for Galway and several other counties has been extended to 10 tonight.
There's a risk of localised flooding, hail damage and difficult travelling conditions along with potential outages to power and water supplies.
It covers Connacht, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Longford.

A status yellow high temperature warning for the country has been extended to tomorrow morning - with over 27 degrees expected in many parts today, although the East will be the hottest.
