Galway Bay fm newsroom - Connemara councillors have passed an €8.1m budget for the region for 2023.

The predicted spend is up on this year's figure by around €150 thousand.

It's long been argued that Galway County Council is radically underfunded, with services being continuously pared back in every district as a result.

Councillor Noel Thomas says the fact they passed the Connemara budget for 2023 is not an endorsement of the funding levels being provided.
