€70,000 of cocaine seized in Newcastle

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 was seized in Newcastle in the city last night.

The drugs were found following a search at a residence during an operation by Gardaí in Galway.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and was taken to Galway Garda station.

He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
