Galway city house prices 13% above national average at €351,000

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The average price of a house in Galway city is €351,000 - 13% higher than the national average of €310,000.

Although prices in the city were 8% higher at the end of 2022 than the year before, they were still below its Celtic Tiger Peak.

Meanwhile, the average price of a home in the county is now €259,000 - 20% below its Celtic Tiger peak.

Nationally, housing prices rose by 6% during 2022, according to the latest Daft.ie Sales Report.

The number of homes available to buy on December 1st stood at just over 15,000 - up 33% on the same date last year but still significantly below the 2019 average of 24,000.
