Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway West TD and Junior Minister Hildegarde Naughton has admitted she has tried cannabis before - but it wasn't for her.

She said she tried the drug in her 20s.

The government has established a Citizens Assembly to discuss the idea of decriminalising drugs.

Minister Naughton will oversee this and admits she's tried drugs herself in the past.
