Local senator brands Inland Fisheries Ireland "rotten and corrupt"

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A local senator is branding Inland Fisheries Ireland "rotten and corrupt".

Senator Sean Kyne has told the Seanad he intends to read into the record, issues of corruption within the organisation.

He also alleged that the Department of the Environment is implicit in cover-ups.

It's after a report initiated by Minister Eamon Ryan was published into the working of the board of IFI.

Senator Kyne is taking exception to a finding that there's no basis to determine that the functions of the organisation are not being performed effectively.
