Galway Bay fm newsroom - Local councillor Evelyn Parsons says the new specialist menopause clinic at UHG is a good start, but more resources will be needed.
The clinic, which is the first of its kind in the West of Ireland, is operating one afternoon per week and caters for up to ten women at a time.
UHG's specialist clinic is one of four nationwide which were approved for funding by the Department of Health last September.
Councillor Parsons promises she will continue to call for extra resources:
