A public meeting to be held in Oughterard tomorrow evening is to focus on demanding a better life for Connemara communities
People Before Profit Galway West by-election candidate Denman Rooke is to host the event at the Oughterard Community Centre at 6.30pm
Speakers will include Maitiú de Hál, a founding member of the Gaeltacht housing campaign group BÁNÚ; Sinéad O'Brien, who runs Mungo Murphy's Seaweed Company and a land-based aquaculture farm with her mother Cindy in Baile na hAbhann; and hill farmer Bridgi Murphy, who recently project-managed a Soil Biodiversity European Innovation Partnership project
