The search for missing Galway Man David Barrett has been stood down by the Gardai following the discovery of a body in the city last night.

David, who was 35 and from Mullan Mor, had been missing since Friday.

In a statement released this morning, The Gardai stood down their appeal and thanked the public for their assistance on the matter.
