Galway Bay fm newsroom - A status yellow wind warning will come into effect for Galway in an hour's time.
The warning comes in for Galway along with Clare, Cork and Kerry from 8AM and is in place until midday.
Strong west to southwest winds are expected, with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h, especially near the coast.
