Galway Bay FM newsroom- A status yellow wind warning is now in place for Galway, Clare, Cork and Kerry

Met Eireann is warning of very strong and gusty west to southwest winds, with gusts of up to 110 kilometres her hour.

There's potential for localised spray and wave overtopping along Atlantic coasts.

The alert is effective until 7 this evening.
