Galway Bay fm newsroom - University of Galway is launching a European project worth €3m, aimed at enhancing women's role in rural life.

The 'FLIARA - Female Led Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas' project will undertake 200 cases across 10 countries in Europe.

It's hoped it can help develop more effective policy and framework to support the capacity of women who live in rural areas.
