Irish Centre for Human Rights issues second open letter to University of Galway over Israeli IT links

The Irish Centre for Human Rights has issued a second open letter to the University of Galway over its links with an Israeli IT.

Following its first open letter last December, the ICHR is once again calling on the President and Management Team to cease its research collaboraton with Technion.

The issue has lead to several high profile people refusing or returning their honorary doctorates, with numerous protests held by the Campus Anti-Genocide Coalition.

Welcoming the letter by the ICHR, the group has also accused the university of 'hypocrisy' in hosting an exhibition on the 'Lived Experience of Gaza'.

The University of Galway has addressed the research project following previous protests, saying the research project was under review.
